Buying a sacrificial ticket

Question: Is it permissible to give the bank the [responsibility to undertake the hajj] sacrifice, and what is the ruling regarding delaying it?

Response: Yes, it is permissible for whoever has a sacrifice to make, to pay for the [hajj] sacrifice via the government appointed bank – and that is al-Bank al-Islaamee or the [appointed ticket] offices. [So] he pays the money, and appoints the bank to buy the sacrificial animal and slaughter it [and distribute the meat on his behalf]; this [service is made available] to simplify matters for the people. And if he was to assume [the responsibility for undertaking] the sacrifice himself – by buying [the sacrificial animal], slaughtering it and distributing it – then this is better.
