If they entered Makkah, they would like to not leave until they had completed reading the Qur.aan [in full] there.
From the mistakes which parents fall into when uttering wrong words in front of their children, is that they censure the children when they utter them [too]!
Good manners are better for the children [both] in terms of their character and wealth, than to give them gold and silver.
It is incumbent upon the one to whom advice has been given by his [Muslim] brother to bear the advice with good thoughts, and to thank him for his advice.
It is not befitting to lie for real or as a joke, and nor for any of you to promise your child something, and then not to fulfil [your promise] to him.
