Question: If the wife becomes angry with her husband over a worldly issue, and then stopped talking to him and sitting with him for a certain period amounting to days, then what is the ruling regarding that?

Response: That which is obligatory upon the wife is to obey her husband in that which is good, and [so] it is not permissible for her to boycott him for other than a Sharee’ah-based requirement. And likewise, he is required to live with her in a good [and upright] manner, and not boycott her for other than a Sharee’ah-based requirement.
