Question: Is it permissible for a person to make tawaaf for his deceased parents or one of his relatives who are deceased?

Response: There is no harm for a man (person) to perform the Hajj or the ‘Umrah on behalf of one of his parents or relatives. Likewise, there is no harm – in shaa.-Allaah – if he made tawaaf [seven times around the Ka’bah], making the intention for its reward to [pass onto] one of his parents or relatives.
