Question: She is asking: My husband does not pray, and I sometimes wake him up for the salaah, but he severely admonishes me, and sometimes he does things to me, like beat me and other than that. [So] should I leave him be, or should I [continue to] encourage him to pray, or what should I do with him?  Please guide me, and baara-kAllaahu feekum.

Response: So long as you remain with him in the house, then you must [continue to] encourage him to pray, and insist he does so. If, [however], he continues not to pray, then seek a separation from him; you must not remain with him whilst he continues not to pray, [so] seek a separation [from him].

Yes.
