Welcome to Winter – during which blessings descend [from Allaah]; wherein the nights are long [and therefore conducive] to stand[ing] in prayer, and the days are short [and conducive] to fast[ing].
Continuing to fast after the fast of Ramadhaan is a sign of the acceptance of the fast of Ramadhaan.
Extending prayers and salutations upon the Prophet is the best of [all] acts of worship, because Allaah (Ta’aala) Himself has done so and [so too have] His angels…

The Muslim woman generally spends most of her time in the kitchen, busy preparing various types of food, so [as a result] she misses out on taking advantage of the time during the month of Ramadhaan [to increase in the worship of Allaah].
