قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: " خَيْرُ النِّكَاحِ أَيْسَرُهُ ".
أخرجه أبو داود وصححه الألباني
قال ابن القيم رحمه الله:
" المغالاة في المهر مكروهة في النكاح
وأنها من قلة بركته وعسره ".

The messenger of Allaah ﷺ said:
«The best marriage is one that is easiest.» – transmitted by Abu Daawood, and authentciated by al-Albaanee.
Ibn al-Qayyim said:
[Being] excessive in the mahr is detested in marriage, and it is a source of diminished blessings in [marriage] and difficulties.
