Fataawa Noor ‘alad-Darb – v12, p240

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said:

It is incumbent upon the one to whom advice has been given by his [Muslim] brother to bear the advice with good thoughts, and to thank him for his advice. Because the one advising is helping him in obedience to Allaah (‘Azza wa Jall), and avoiding that which is prohibited.
