If ever we - the companions of Muhammad ﷺ - needed clarification regarding a hadeeth, we would ask 'Aa.ishah رضي الله عنها - and found that she had [inherited] knowledge from him.

What is your profession?
Memorising when young
I heard (sought knowledge) from Qataadah when I was 14 years old, and there is nothing which I heard during those years except that it [remains with me] as if written in my heart.
Know that he is misguided
If you spoke to a man about the Sunnah, and he said [to you] 'Spare us from this [speech], and [just] tell us about the Book of Allaah', then know that he is misguided.
In the footsteps of the Prophet ﷺ
[In a dream] I saw the Prophet ﷺ [and it was] as if he was walking, and Muhammad ibn Ismaa'eel [al-Bukhaaree] رحمه الله was walking behind him.
Acting in accordance with the Sunnah
Whoever does an act which is not in accordance with the Sunnah, then his act is void.
None more knowledgeable of the Sunnah
There was none more knowledgeable of the Sunnah in Iraq than Ibn 'Own.
Encouraging others
When a man narrates to me a hadeeth, I remain silent [to encourage] him - [giving the impression] as if I haven't heard it [before], even though I [first] heard it before he was even born!
The precious value of time
I came across groups of people, and one from [among] them [all] was more stingy about [how he spent] his time than he was with his money.
Defence of the Sunnah
Defence of the Sunnah is better than jihaad in the Path of Allaah.
