Is it permissible to read a soorah from the Qur.aan with the intention that its reward be [destined] for the deceased? And how would that be?

Our father died leaving behind many debts. He had a number of children – some of whom are poor, and others who are wealthy; so should the wealthy of his children pay off their father’s debts?

Burying a number of dead bodies in a single grave

When there are numerous dead bodies [to be buried], is it permissible to dig one huge grave – big enough for twenty or thirty bodies, and bury them all in this grave, then cover it up with soil?

When a man dies in a [particular] city, and had requested [upon death] he be buried in different city, then is it obligatory to fulfill his [dying] request?
