Are there any innovations which some people fall into [when] at the grave of the Messenger ﷺ?

They are the ones who will succeed you when you die
Take care of your children. Your profitable 'trade' [with Allaah] is undoubtedly your children.
Keep a protective eye over your children
Then, as for you O Father! Observe your children['s activities] – [even] outside the home. Where did they go? Who do they mix with?
Do we love the Prophet ﷺ more than they did?
I say that celebrating the birthday of the Prophet ﷺ was not [something] known [to have been practiced] by the righteous predecessors.
Defending the honour of the Prophet ﷺ within ourselves, first and foremost
As you [all] know, even from [among] the children of the Muslims [there are those] who insult the Messenger ﷺ.
I have never watched a sports match
I have never watched a sports match. However, I once sat in a gathering and was amazed at the extent of dedication and preoccupation and knowledge of the names of the players.
The reality of i'tikaaf
However, [regarding] i'tikaaf, its reality is for the person to remain in the masjid for [the purpose of] worshipping Allaah ﷻ.
For those who desire a righteous heart
May Allaah grant you goodness. It has been narrated that al-Ashtar once entered upon 'Ali ibn Abi Taalib رضي الله عنه – after part of the night had passed – while he was standing in prayer.
A third of Ramadhaan has already passed
