Arabic Language Book 2

Arabic Language Book 2 is the second volume in Dr. V. ‘Abdur-Raheem’s Lessons in Arabic Language series, continuing the foundation laid in the first book with expanded vocabulary, more complex sentence structures, and further grammar concepts. It is produced by the Islaamic University of Madeenah for non-native speakers progressing through the course.

Building on what was introduced earlier, this book deepens the student’s ability to read and construct Arabic sentences, again using an entirely Arabic-medium teaching method rather than translation. As with the rest of the series, the lessons are graded and cumulative, so a solid grasp of the first book is expected before beginning here.

It is with deep sorrow that we note the passing of the author, Shaykh Dr. V. ‘Abdur-Raheem, in October 2023. May Allaah ﷻ reward him abundantly for his service to Islaam and accept this work as an ongoing benefit for the many students who have learned from it.

Two sets of personal study notes are available alongside this book: one prepared by Umm Zakkee and one by Zahid Naeem, each offering practical clarifications for points that students commonly find difficult.

The series begins with the first book and continues with the third book and the fourth and final book. All resources are available via marabic.com.
