Have compassion for the common Muslims

Manners, Religion, Shaykh Ubayd al-Jaabiree, Words of Wisdom 12 May 2025 Abu 'Abdullaah

Shaykh ‘Ubayd al-Jaabiree said:

So I advise you – may Allaah bless you – to take care of the common people – the general Muslims.

Pay close attention to them.

For if the common Muslims find in the student of knowledge [the characteristics of] mercy, compassion, kindness, humility, generosity, and cheerfulness – they will love him and be with him.

But if they find in him [the characteristics of] harshness, severity, and roughness, they will turn away from him – and so will those behind them.
