Shaykh ‘Abdur-Razzaaq al-Badr said:

We extend our deepest condolences to ourselves on the loss suffered by the Ummah in the passing of its eminent scholar, Shaykh ‘Abdul ‘Azeez Aal ash-Shaykh رحمه الله the Mufti of this land.

And it is no secret that the loss of a scholar is among the great calamities.

We ask Allaah ﷻ to grant us all patience in this trial, and to compensate us with a good successor.

And to forgive our Shaykh, and to reward him for what he has contributed [to the service of Islaam] with the best of rewards, and to raise his ranks in the highest levels of Paradise, and to bless the Ummah with a good successor.

We [also] ask that He blesses our scholars on our behalf with the best of rewards, and that He makes us all among those who love one another for His sake [alone].

There is no doubt that such a calamity has a profound impact on the hearts of the believers.

And our duty to the Shaykh رحمه الله  is to pray for his forgiveness and mercy, and that Allaah ﷻ grants him abode in the Highest Paradise.
