Question: What is the ruling regarding a wife who leaves to perform the obligatory {first] Hajj without her husband’s permission?
Response: The obligatory Hajj is [only] obligatory if [all] its conditions are satisfied and [seeking] the permission of the husband is not from amongst them. It is not permissible for him to prevent her, rather, it is legislated for him to assist her in performing this obligation.
