Question: The question asks what is your Eminence’s opinion on the stance of the Islaamic countries regarding the aggression against the Muslims in Lebanon and Palestine, and the killing of women and children, and the elderly, and their displacement? And does this stance align with the Islaamic Sharee’ah?
Response: There is no doubt that it is the duty of the Islaamic countries to support the truth, and help the Muslims everywhere.
In Lebanon, in Palestine, in the Philippines, and in Afghanistan and elsewhere. However, are they capable of doing so while they are in this state of disunity?
There is no doubt that it is incumbent upon the Islaamic countries to support the truth and help the Muslims everywhere; in Lebanon, in Palestine, in the Philippines, in Afghanistan, and elsewhere. But are they able, in their current state of disunity?
They are unable to do so except through unity, sincerity and cooperation.
This disunity, the corruption in their ‘aqeedah, and the failure of most of them to implement the Sharee’ah – that is the great calamity that has caused them to be divided.
If they were sincere with Allaah and adhered to His Sharee’ah, He would grant them victory and support them against their enemy, and their enemy would fear them; even the Americans, and even the Russians! If the Muslims were united and were sincere, they would be given their rights and would not be transgressed against.
But this disunity and this state they find themselves in is the cause of their contempt and the reason for the enemies’ domination over them.
They are sinful for this disunity, and they must fear Allaah and strive diligently to remove this disunity through cooperation.
Whoever strives in that and exerts effort will have two rewards if he is correct, and whoever errs will have one reward if his intention is sound.
But the [real] calamity is the corruption of beliefs; many of them do not have a sound, upright ‘aqeedah that conforms to the Sharee’ah of Allaah.
Yes, and Allaah is the One whose help is sought. Yes.
