The Shaykh was the peak of simplicity & humility

It has been narrated:

He (rahima-hullaah) was the epitome of simplicity and humility; he did not like sleeping on a bed, nor on a comfortable mattress, but instead he slept on the floor or a meagre mattress or straw mat, which affected his side.
