Shaykh Saalih al-Fowzaan said:
Reflect on why you were created, and reflect on where you are heading.
For the wise person contemplates him present state and what lies ahead, and thus prepares for what is before him.
This world is a fleeting passage, while the Hereafter is an eternal abode.
This world is a place of deeds, and the Hereafter is a place of reward.
So, understand your reality – may Allaah have mercy on you. Let each person think about himself:
What [deeds] have they prepared for their meeting with Allaah ﷻ?
[Allaah ﷻ says:]
So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord – let him do righteous work and not associate anyone in the worship of his Lord. soorah al-Kahf 018:110
