If someone made the intention to commit a sin, but did not do it, would it be recorded against him or not?
It is befitting for the student of knowledge to rectify his intention [solely for the Sake of Allaah], for indeed the loss of [a] sincere [intention] prevents the acceptance of [righteous] actions.
Some [people] infer that it is permissible to verbalise the intention [using as evidence] the Prophet’s (sal-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) words “I am fasting” – when he did not find anything to eat?
Everything [we do] by which sincerity to Allaah [alone] is not intended will disappear (be worthless).
What is the ruling regarding marriage with the intention to divorce? And if such [a marriage] took place, what is the ruling regarding it?
