And do not say “may Allaah deal with you” or “may Allaah break your back”, or what is similar to that.
So, there is nothing more beneficial for the heart than dealing with people with gentleness and a love for good for them.
As a father, it is not your job to remove the thorns from the path of your child – out of fear they may scratch.
Some children give their parents gifts, and this is nice, and being good to them, and [a show of] affection [to them] – may Allaah reward them with good.
