Reflect at the wisdom of Allaah

Reference: Subul as-Salaam v8 p264

‘Abdur-Razzaaq as-San’aanee رحمه الله said:

And look at the wisdom of Allaah and His love for the coming together of the hearts [of the believers]. [Reflect for a moment on] how he has prohibited slander, despite it being the truth; because therein is the corruption of the hearts, and the start/birth of hostility [resulting in becoming separated from one another] and [leading to] loneliness.

And He has permitted lying – even though it is prohibited – if it is [done] to bring the hearts [of the believers] closer [together], and encourage love and friendship, and remove hostility.
