The correct understanding and etiquette of honouring our parents and being dutiful to them is that when Allaah has chosen us to be dutiful to one (or both) of our parents, we do not allow Shaytaan to corrupt this favour of Allaah upon us, by him whispering to us:
“And where are your sisters and brothers?”
“And what are they doing?”
