Shaykh Khaalid Ismaa’eel said:

We ask Allaah to awaken our hearts!

By Allaah, the human being [my] brothers, how long will he be distracted by [pleasures of] the world?

[Take this sincere advice…]

If Allaah ﷻ has provided you with what is [reasonably] sufficient for your worldly affairs, [then] devote yourself for the Hereafter.

Free yourself up for [seeking] knowledge.

Free yourself up for the Qur.aan.

Free yourself up for worship.

This is what will benefit you with Allaah.

By Allaah, nothing [else] in this world will benefit you.

You will not take anything from this world with you [to the Hereafter]; neither money, nor children, nor a job, nor possessions, nor promotion, nor prestige, nor anything!

[Allaah ﷻ says]:

{My wealth has not availed me. Gone from me is my authority.} – al-Haaqqah 69:28-29

So man must wake up from his negligence and work for his Hereafter.

Enough [of this] negligence!

[Allaah ﷻ says]:

{Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you. Until you visit the graveyards.} – at-Takaathur 102:1

But regret is of no use.

After you are buried in your grave, regret is of no use to you.
