Occupy yourself with the deeds of the Hereafter, and you will find the affairs of this world taken care of [and] bringing you no harm.

What are the signs of an accepted Hajj?
al-Hasan al-Basree رحمه الله was asked about the accepted Hajj:
‘What is its sign?’ He replied
In preparation for what comes after death
O Muslim, and indeed every every individual in this world, know that your existence here is temporary, and determined by a time known only to Him who decrees it. Allaah ﷻ says
Reflect on why you were created and where you are heading
Reflect on why you were created, and reflect on where you are heading. For the wise person contemplates him present state and what lies ahead, and thus prepares for what is before him.
Devote yourself for the Hereafter
We ask Allaah to awaken our hearts! By Allaah, the human being [my] brothers, how long will he be distracted by [pleasures of] the world?
Do not waste this precious life
So my advice to my brothers – not [specifically] regarding the internet, nor the satellite channels – is to fear Allaah regarding themselves, and to know that they have not been created for this…
Advice to those who occupy themselves with peoples’ affairs
Likewise, do not interfere in [other] people’s affairs. Don’t get involved – if it doesn’t concern you. And this is contrary to what some people do today.
The state of our existence in this world
The Prophet ﷺ said: What is the world to me? What am I to the world? What am I in this world but like a rider who seeks shade under a tree, then he moves on and leaves it behind.
This is how the life of this world is
as-Salaam ‘Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu. He was born yesterday, [and we welcomed the] blessing of the birth, and all Praise is due to Allaah for safety and protection.
Increase in supplicating to Allaah
We therefore encourage our brothers to increase in supplicating to Allaah عز و جل. That is because [doing so] achieves one of three [outcomes]
