The state of our existence in this world

Shaykh Dr. ‘Aasim al-Qaryooti said:

The Prophet ﷺ said:

«What is the world to me? What am I to the world? What am I in this world but like a rider who seeks shade under a tree, then he moves on and leaves it behind.»

[This hadeeth has been] trasmitted by Ahmad and at-Tirmidhee, and other than them.

Like this, is the state of our existence in the world; [whether it be] days, hours, [or mere] moments.

So ponder and reflect [O] Abdullaah – what [deeds] have you put forth (done) for your Hereafter?

May Allaah make good my ending (death) and yours upon Tawheed and the Sunnah, [aameen].
