Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said:
We therefore encourage our brothers to increase in supplicating to Allaah عز و جل.
That is because [doing so] achieves one of three [outcomes]:
- Either Allaah will answer his supplication, or
- He will reserve it with Him until the Day of Judgement, or
- He will turn away a harm from him, which is more beneficial for him [than having his supplication answered].
