‘Alaa ibn Khushrum said:

I have never seen Wakee’ with a book in his hands, rather, he memorised. So I asked him about the remedy for memorising and he said:

‘If I taught you the remedy would you use it?’ I said: ‘Yes, wAllaahi!’ He said: ‘Abandon sinning [since] I have never experienced anything like it for memorising.’
