Madeenah Arabic Language Syllabus
This is the official Madeenah Arabic language syllabus for the 2-year programme at the Institute of Arabic Language, part of the Islaamic University of Madeenah. It sets out the structure of the course that the Lessons in Arabic Language book series is built around, giving students and teachers alike a clear overview of how the material is intended to be paced and progressed.
The syllabus covers the full two years of study, outlining which topics, grammar points, and skills are introduced at each stage of the programme, from the very first lessons in reading and writing through to the more advanced material covered towards the end of Book 4. It is a useful reference for anyone following the course independently, since it shows how each book and supplementary resource fits into the wider structure of the syllabus, rather than treating each book as a standalone unit.
Students studying under a teacher will typically already have this structure explained to them as they progress, but for those working through the books independently, having the full syllabus to hand from the outset makes it easier to see how much ground is left to cover and how the various supplementary resources – reading, writing, dictation, and so on – relate to the core books at each stage.
