Question: A man made the intention to commit a sin, and at the same time made the intention that he would repent to Allaah after committing this sin; so will his repentance be accepted or not?
Response: If he committed a sin with this intention, then this intention is of no benefit to him, and [as such] he will not be relieved of the punishment for [committing] that sin. However, if he committed a sin, then sincerely repented, [in shaa.-Allaah] Allaah will accept [his repentance]. This is based upon the saying of Allaah تعالى:
{Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allaah . Indeed, Allaah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.”}, soorah az-Zumar, aayah 53
