Reference: Siyar A’laam an-Nubalaa v1 p406
‘Abdullaah ibn Mas’ood رضي الله عنه reports that he heard the Prophet ﷺ saying:
«Never was Ibn Sumayyah (‘Ammaar ibn Yaasir) given a choice between two [permissible] matters, except that he would choose the easier of the two.»
