Prayer in the depth of the night
Pray, even if only two rak’ahs, in the depth of the night; for indeed, prayer in the depth of the night sheds away sins and is among the most noble deeds of the righteous.

Greater than his need for food, drink, and clothing
A servant’s need for the mu’awwidhaat (the protective supplications, i.e. the last 3 soorahs of the Qur.aan) is greater than his need for food, drink, and clothing.
A painful reality
