Washing the bodies of the dead in preparation for burial
[In preparation for their burial], al-Muzanee رحمه الله would wash the dead as an act of worship, and he would say
It rained over the grave of Harim ibn Hayyaan
It rained over the grave of Harim ibn Hayyaan on the day he died, and then vegetation began to sprout [forthwith].
When Harim ibn Hayyaan died
[When] Harim ibn Hayyaan died it was a hot day. So when they had finished with his grave, there came a cloud which stopped over the grave; it was neither longer nor shorter than it (the grave).
None of them had seen what I had seen

On 30 Jumaada ath-Thaanee 1414H (Wednesday, 15 December 1993), when asked about the will within which the deceased requested burial in Madeenah, Shaykh Ibn Baaz رحمه الله said
Burying a number of dead bodies in a single grave
When there are numerous dead bodies [to be buried], is it permissible to dig one huge grave – big enough for twenty or thirty bodies, and bury them all in this grave, then cover it up with soil?
Fulfilling a dying man’s request to be buried in a different city
When a man dies in a [particular] city, and had requested [upon death] he be buried in different city, then is it obligatory to fulfil his [dying] request?
