Recitation of the Qur.aan works on the diseases of the heart and mind [like] how honey works on the deficiencies of the body.
To talk about the people is an illness, and to remember Allaah is the cure.
Is it permissible to recite soorah al-Faatihah whilst supplicating, or at the end of the supplication? And is that [considered to be] an innovation?
I haven’t ever been consumed by anger, and for the past twenty years I have sought [a cure for] a need from Allaah, and [in His ultimate wisdom] He hasn’t cured me, yet I have not tired in supplicating [to Him].
O Allaah, indeed I long to meet you, so long to meet me [too].
Our problem is that, to begin with we don’t establish a sound foundation, and nor do we view the problems in any Muslim country as our problem. Then when it strikes our country, we [frantically] search for the cure and solution.
Regarding the excellence of reciting [Soorah] al-Faatihah upon the one who is afflicted [with evil eye or black magic] – is [reciting it alone] sufficient, or should it be repeated more than once?
