Ibraaheem al-Harbee رحمه الله said that Ahmad ibn Hanbal رحمه الله was asked about [the permissibility of] a Muslim saying أَكْرَمَكَ الله (may Allaah honour you) to a Christian. He said
Ready and in a state of wudhoo
Since I embraced Islaam, never has the [congregational] prayer been about to start, except that I have been in a state of wudhoo [and ready for the prayer].
Always ready for the prayer
Never has the time for salaah arrived, except that I had been longing for it.
Changing name upon embracing Islaam
Is it permissible for a person who has embraced Islaam to change his name?
