Whoever makes the Hereafter his sole concern
Whoever makes the Hereafter his sole concern, then Allaah will be sufficient for him concerning his affairs and needs in the world
Usage of time
He was so careful about how he spent his time, to the extent that every second of his time had great value
The Shaykh was the peak of simplicity and humility
He (rahima-hullaah) was the epitome of simplicity and humility; he did not like sleeping on a bed, nor on a comfortable mattress.
{you shall be brought back to Allaah}
I heard Sa’eed ibn Jubayr repeat this aayah in the prayer twenty odd times…
Be repentful in the morning and evening
Indeed the rights of Allaah are far greater than the servant can fulfill, and indeed the blessings of Allaah are far more than can be counted, however, be repentful in the morning and evening (i.e. throughout the day).
I know more about it than him
I have not heard a man narrate hadeeth except that I know more about it than him; [however] I had forgotten some knowledge if a man was to memorise that he would be an ‘aalim.
Modesty
It is befitting for a person to strive hard with himself and not to feel proud as a result of the people’s statements [of praise].
al-Haafidh
al-Hamdu Lillaah, indeed the Shaykh has memorised a hundred thousand hadeeth.
Glad tidings for the believer
The Prophet ﷺ replied: “Ask Muhammad Naasiruddeen al-Albaanee.
