There are some people who say that the Messenger ﷺ was taken on the Night Journey (al-Israa) but was not taken on the Ascension (al-Mi'raaj) to the heavens.

Is 27th Rajab the night of al-Israa wal-Mi'raaj?
May Allaah be good to you. Tonight is the 27th night [of Rajab], and there are those who believe this night is the night of al-Israa wal-Mi'raaj (the night journey and ascension).

The best of the acts of worship are those that conform to the guidance of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ and the guidance of the companions.

A sister relayed a dream in which the Prophet ﷺ named Shaykh al-Albaanee as a reference for questions of hadeeth.
Kissing the elderly on the forehead
Kissing the forehead of the elderly is [an act of] reverence and honour [towards them]. It is [merely] a practice and not an act of worship; as [can be] seen from this [narration]
How about of those other than them?!
Neither Allaah nor His Messenger commanded [us] to observe the days of misfortune for the Prophets and their deaths as a period of mourning - so how about of those other than them?!
From the signs of one's love of Allaah
From the signs of [one's] love of Allaah, is love of the Qur.aan. And the sign of [one's] love of Allaah and love of the Qur.aan, is love of the Prophet ﷺ.
To convey the Sunnah is better
And to convey his Sunnah to the ummah is better than to shoot an arrow at the throat of the enemy, because there is no shortage among the people who can do that.
