There is a masjid in which they have a hall for lessons; is it permissible for a menstruating woman to attend lessons in this hall, whilst seated on a chair?

Out of respect for him
When Khaalid ibn Ma’daan would sit, none amongst [those who had gathered] was able to mention [anything of] the dunyaa in his presence, out of respect for him.
5,000 or more in attendance, learning
And in the gatherings of Ahmad [ibn Hanbal], there would be about 5,000 or more, with about 500 [of them] writing, while the rest would be learning good manners [from him].
The importance of Kitaab at-Tawheed
It is not sufficient to read ‘Kitaab at-Tawheed’ [just] once, rather it is befitting that you always read it; [so] every time you finish it, start [reading] it again, just as I do so myself.
Who taught you good manners?
[I learnt them] myself. If I see anyone [who is] good, [then] I draw near to him, and if I see anyone [who is] ill-mannered, [then] I keep away from him.
He was capable of dictating it all from memory

The difference between ‘prohibited’ and ‘not permissible’
Is there a difference between the saying of the scholars ‘this is prohibited ( حرام )’ or ‘this is not permissible’ ( لا يجوز )?

Created for hadeeth
In this world, Abu Daawood was created for [the knowledge of] hadeeth, and [as] for the Hereafter, [he was created] for Paradise.
Before putting pen to paper
I did not put [pen to paper and record] any hadeeth in my book “Saheeh [al-Bukhaaree]” except that I washed before [doing so], and then prayed two rak’ahs.
