Question: Are the women required to call the iqaamah when they gather for the prayer?

Response: If they call the iqaamah, then there is no harm [in doing so], and if they avoid calling the iqaamah [likewise] there is no harm [in not doing so]; This is because [calling] the adhaan and the iqaamah are both obligatory for the men [only].
