Reference: Sharh ‘Umdatil-Fiqh – Tape No.6, Question No.16

Question: If the weather is cold, and a man in the state of janaabah (major sexual impurity) had [just] taken a bath [or shower], and [as such] he fears by going out for the Fajr prayer would be harmful for him, would he then be allowed to pray at home?

Response: Yes. If he does not have any garments which will [sufficiently] protect him, and he fears going out in the cold having just had a bath [or shower] will harm him, then he should pray at home.
