Whilst travelling, stopped over for more than four days

Reference: Sharh ‘Umdatil-Fiqh – Tape No.10, Question No.39

Question: Camel owners in the desert who have set up camp since a month have decided to remain there for a longer period now; are they required to offer the prayer in full?

Response: Yes. If they intend to stopover for more than four days, then they are required to offer the prayer in full; this is the preponderant opinion of the people of knowledge. That is because when one intends to stopover for more than four days, then they cease to be [legally] recognised as travellers.
