The true essence of khashyah

Reference: Siyar A’laam an-Nubalaa v4 p321

Sa’eed ibn Jubayr رحمه الله said:

Indeed, khashyah is to have reverential fear and apprehension of Allaah, such that your fear and apprehension of Him is a cause of preventing you from sin; that there is [the true essence of] khashyah.

And dhikr is obedience to Allaah, and whoever obeys Allaah, then he has remembered Him, and whoever does not obey Him, then he is not one who remembers [Him], even if he exerts himself in glorifying Allaah and the recitation of the Qur.aan.
