Dr Mahmood al-Meerah narrates :
Once, the Shaykh ascended the [library] steps at al-Maktabah az-Zaahiriyyah (Damascus) to get a manuscript. Upon finding the manuscript, he began reading it, and there he remained [standing upon the steps] reading the manuscript for a period of more than six hours!
