He bequeathed his library
Abu Qilaabah (rahima-hullaah) died in ash-Shaam, and he had bequeathed [all] his books to Ayyoob as-Sikhtiyaanee, so they were taken to him.
Regularly visiting the graveyard
There is nothing more of an exhortation [to good] than the grave, and nothing more of a companion than a book, and nothing more safer than unity.
You shall die tomorrow
[All of] his time would be filled with worship and [the reading of] set portions [of the Qur.aan].
Until he knew where he was destined
Riba’ee ibn Hiraash took an oath that his teeth would not be seen when laughing, until he knew where he was destined.
It rained over the grave of Harim ibn Hayyaan
It rained over the grave of Harim ibn Hayyaan on the day he died, and then vegetation began to sprout [forthwith].
When Harim ibn Hayyaan died
[When] Harim ibn Hayyaan died it was a hot day. So when they had finished with his grave, there came a cloud which stopped over the grave; it was neither longer nor shorter than it (the grave). And it drizzled over it (the grave) until it had drenched it, and then it went away.
None of them had seen what I had seen
I attended the funeral of al-Ahnaf in Koofaa, and was amongst those who descended down into his grave, and when I had leveled it [ready for his body to then be placed inside], I saw how it had been made wide and spacious – as far as my eye could see!
And Allaah will be sufficient for you against them
