The condition of the Salaf - as was mentioned about them [in the books] with reliable chains of narrators - is that they used to ask Allaah عز و جل to allow them to reach Ramadhaan before it began.

The passing away of the Scholars
When the scholars pass away, evil and discord prevail. He ﷺ said
Treatment for depression, anxiety, worry, and sadness
[As for] the reason [for depression or distress, then] I cannot know, because the causes of depression and distress are varied.
Beware of speaking ill of a believer!
...and whoever says about a believer something that is not true, he will be made by Allaah to dwell in the putrid fluid flowing from the inhabitants of Hell until he retracts what he said.
