Qays said that Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqaas told him that the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said

The power of supplication
I entered upon al-Jarraah, and he raised his hands, and [likewise] the leaders [around him too] raised their hands – and they remained [like this] for a long while. He (al-Jarraah) then said to me
I long to meet you
Marwaan visited Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه during his illness from which he [later] died, and said to him: May Allaah cure you O Abaa Hurayrah.
That which breeds most of the difficulties which befall the people
Whoever remembers Allaah, He will remember him, respond to his supplication, protect him from the whisperings of Shaytaan, and alleviate his difficulties.
If anyone did speak to him, he would respond to them
al-Awzaa’ee would not speak to anyone after the Fajr prayer until [after] he had engaged himself in the remembrance of Allaah; And if anyone did speak to him, he would respond to them.
Made istikhaarah for three years
Abu Ja’far at-Tabaree رحمه الله said: ‘I made istikhaarah to Allaah for three years and asked him for assistance for that which I had made the intention to compile the tafseer before I began, and so…
His general speech
Such was [the case of] Ibn Seereen, that his speech in general was [peppered with] سبحان الله و بحمده سبحان الله العظيم.
I supplicate to Allaah for ash-Shaafi’ee
I supplicate to Allaah for ash-Shaafi’ee, even in my prayers (salaah).
There are six for whom I pray in secret
There are six [people] for whom I pray in secret, one of them being ash-Shaafi’ee رحمه الله.
All of the children of Aadam make mistakes
All of the children of Aadam make mistakes, and the best of them are those who repent.
