Noor ‘alad-Darb – v32, p429

Shaykh ‘Abdul-‘Azeez ibn Baaz advised:

If your father orders you to break the ties of kinship, then do not break them. Rather, deal with your father with wisdom and kind speech, and excuse him in these matters, and address him in [a manner that is] better. And if your father does not permit [you to do so], [then you yourself should] maintain the ties of kinship, even if it is hidden from him.
