Upholding your duty towards your children
Is the corruption of children [through poor nurturing considered as] a tribulation?
Which one to choose
Hudhayfah ibn al-Yamaan رضي الله عنه was asked: ‘Which of the trials (fitan) is the most severe?’ He replied: ‘That good and evil are [both] presented to you, and you do not know which one to choose.’
Beware of tribulations
Beware of tribulations (فِتَن), for no one who exposes himself to them is safe. By Allaah, no one involves himself in them except that they sweep him away, just as a flood sweeps away debris.
How much we are in need of Allaah
Always ask Allaah to help you with yourself, particularly at this time. The temptations are many, and the distractions are many. How much we are need of Allaah to help us!
Supplicating for the Rulers
And [regarding the rulers of the Muslims] – from asking Allaah, it is from our right that we ask Allaah for their guidance and success, and that they do what is required [of them].
Trials and tribulations are from the Signs of the Last Hour
The occurrence of much trials and tribulations, as well as [serious] incidents and jealousy has been noted during these times – so is this from the signs of the Last Hour?
So-and-so is speaking about you
So those who have [sound] knowledge of the religion of Allaah do not pay any attention to fitnah – even if the people created a drama [over it].
Advice for an age in which trials and tribulations have increased
With what do you advise us during this age in which fitan have increased, and the people of innovation have become widespread, and [as we witness] the passing away of the scholars?
Means to steadfastness during the time of trials and tribulations
What are the means to steadfastness upon the religion during the time of trials and tribulations?
