Prayer in the depth of the night
Pray, even if only two rak’ahs, in the depth of the night; for indeed, prayer in the depth of the night sheds away sins and is among the most noble deeds of the righteous.
Do not beautify sin in your heart
Do not beautify sin within yourself. You look, then look again, and again, and again until the heart becomes corrupted.
Disobedience towards parents
[O] Noble Shaykh Saalih, do you have any word[s] of guidance to the one who is disobedient to his parents, especially the mother.
Beneficial knowledge without righteous actions
And it has been reported in an authentic hadeeth, that there are from amongst the students of knowledge those who will be punished before the worshipers of idols.
Youth afflicted with committing a sin
I am a youth, and have been afflicted with [committing] a sin, and every time I repent [to Allaah] from it, I go back to doing it; I [just] want to be free of it, [so] if I were to do it again, is it…
The three aspects of backbiting
There are three aspects of backbiting, all of which are [mentioned] in the Book of Allaah: backbiting, falsehood and slander. 1) As for backbiting
Reflect on what we want to share before sharing
If there is a dispute between two parties, it is wrong and sinful to share with either party what the other has said, because it may increase the division and dispute between them.
A warning against being preoccupied with the faults of others
From the people are those who preoccupy themselves with the faults of others, and forget their own faults.
A reminder for the believer
During hardship, the believer is commanded with patience and acceptance, and when [having committed] sins, to seek forgiveness and repentance. Allaah تعالى says: So be patient, [O Muhammad].
