Question: May Allaah bestow good upon you, and bless you. Here, a questioner is asking: ‘Is it true what some people are spreading, that Shaykh ‘Abdul-Muhsin [al-’Abbaad] – may Allaah grant him success – wrote this book [ رفقًا أهل السنة بأهل السنة ] in defense of Abul-Hasan [al-Ma.rabee]?’

Response: Never! Never, never, never! Our Shaykh, Shaykh ‘Abdul-Muhsin, when he was asked [about this book] in the masjid, he said:

’I wrote this for my brothers, Ahlus-Sunnah, as-Salafiyyeen – [and] not for other than them. I did not intend…’

– he said like this:

‘I did not intend the Ikhwaan [al-Muslimeen], nor did I intend the Tableegh (Jamaa’ah at-Tableegh), nor did I intend so-and-so or so-and-so. [With this book] I only intended to advise my brothers [from] Ahlus-Sunnah. So, [my advice is] gentleness, O people of the Sunnah, with the people of the Sunnah.’

This is the Shaykh’s exact statement.
