Question: May Allaah reward you with goodness. [So] this questioner is asking ‘What should be the state of someone who yearns to attend the gatherings of the scholars, but he is in a country far away from the scholars – as is our situation in Europe?’
Response: Firstly – all praise is due to Allaah [alone] – today, the means of listening to the people of knowledge have become easy.
[Audio] tape [recordings] are available, and today [online] broadcasts via the internet and audio-visual means are available.
So acquiring knowledge by listening to the scholars – [both] those who are present and those whom Allaah ﷻ has taken, may Allaah have mercy on them all and raise their ranks in His Gardens – is easy and accessible.
So if you are not near the people of knowledge to see them in person, then be diligent with their [Audio] tape [recordings] – listening to their lessons, and explanations.
